Welcome to McKinneyTalk!  Please adhere to these simple rules as you use the board:

1.  The purpose of this board is to provide an online gathering place for residents of McKinney, Texas.

2.  This board is intended for civil conversation.  Spirited debates are encouraged.  However, personal attacks on other users, or libelous posts are not permitted.

3.  McKinneyTalk is a community message board - if your post or Avatar would exceed a mild PG-13 rating please post it elsewhere.  Yes "mild PG-13" is open for interpretation, but common sense will hopefully apply.

4.  Posts are reviewed by a Moderator (or Assistant Moderator) and are subject to edit prior to being posted.  Wasn't my preference to do it this way, but the 1% out there left me little option.  Sorry!

5.  This is not a publicly funded board - it is privately owned.  All posts are subject to Moderator review, edit, and deletion.  If you feel that's censorship please consider posting to one of the many unmoderated boards on the internet.

6.  Please do not use the board for commercial advertising.  If you'd like to use McKinney Online to get your commercial message out there are several advertising options at your disposal.  This includes links in your message footer or posts that include links. 

7.  Please do not copy and post copyrighted material - linking to it is OK but don't cut and paste.

8.  Users who violate these rules may have their IDs deleted and their IP address banned without warning.

10.  Updated:  This board is not for discussion of national politics.  No left v right threads will be approved.
